One of my issues is that I am really allergic to almost everything. Finding products that actually work and do not cause me problems is usually reason to celebrate with apple pie :). Scrub Away - Dr. Van der Hoog - Hydro Scrub  This fine and gentle scrub really helps rejuvenate your skin AND reduce sebum. After using it for a week I really noticed the difference. My pores have reduced in size and there are less blackheads. "Scrub Away" gently removes dead skincells and excess sebum, as well as stimulating the production of new skin cells.
The scrub particles are made from Pineapple extract and create a mild peeling effect. This product is to be applied on a wet skin and softly massaged in a circular fashion. Rinse with plenty of luke warm water. It is recommended that patients use this once or twice a week. For the first week I used it every other day and thereafter only twice a week. I find this a really nice hypoallergenic product. Retail price is around €7,99 and the jar will last you a good few months. Face for a day - Dr. Van der Hoog - Oxygen Mask  This is a wonderful hypoallergenic face mask that actually oxygenates the face. The effect lasts for about 8 hours and after using it I actually look more human for that amount of time. The product is Dr. van der Hoog's Oxygen Mask. It relaxes your skin and makes it really soft. It is the kind of mask that has to be left on to dry until it is completely white and hard, which takes about 15 minutes. They say it is more effective if you lie down while wearing the mask. Afterwards, rinse off with some luke warm water (which takes a while) and then use a cleanser or toner to refresh the skin and remove any residue from the mask.
The Oxygen Mask relaxes and softens fatigued features in the face. Deep lines are significantly reduced after each use. Melon extract provides a better protection against free radicals. Pure Kaolien mildly cleans the skin deep into the pores and helps remove dead skin cells. When the mask turns hard, the skin is sealed off, which improves blood circulation. This product should be mixed with 1 or 2 tablespoons of boiled water and stirred into a paste, avoiding the eyes and mouth. Do not use this product more than twice a week. I just tend to use it for special occasions, so that I won't look ill for important days. If you use only 1/2 of the powder and still add a full tablespoonful it is a bit more diluted but then you can squeeze two masks out of it. Retail price per sachet is around €1,89. Pure Oxygen - Nivea - Oxygen Power A new product that actually works! After using it for a few weeks I can actually tell my skin looks a lot better and more alive. Nonetheless, there are a lot of chemicals in this product and you might want to ask for a sample before buying the product. It comes in a pressure can of 50ml for the price of €12,50. The product feels very creamy when applied and it stays damp for quite some time. Applying make up over it is possible after about 10 minutes, but perhaps this is a product best just worn after a warm shower when you're getting ready for bed. Your face will feel really clean and fresh. Finishing Touch - Vichy - Lumineuse Creme de Teinte (Sheer radiance Tinted Moisturised) This very subtle product is a day cream and foundation in one. The lightly illuminating particles make your dark circles disappear and hide small imperfections. This product gives your skin a more even tone. I use nr. 00 which is the lightest colour, the darkest colour available is 04, which can be used by light dark people of African descent. Colour 03 is probably suitable if you're Hispanic and 02 for caucasians with a tan. I chose the one for normal/mixed skin type, but it also is available for dry skin. The retail price is €15,00-17,00 and a 30ml sample will last you about 3 months if used daily. Again, this is a product I use when I go out when I have to look presentable. I've noticed that the effect of this cream is enhanced when you first use the Oxygen mask. It is really a good basis for your make-up, but also goes well with just eyeliner, mascara and lipstick. The texture is really soft, in blends easily and you do not notice that you are wearing a foundation. This list will be updated !
