The benefits of an alkaline diet are becoming increasingly recognised by the medical community. Most dietary websites or experts when questioned on the matter say that the diet should be somewhere between 75% and 85% alkaline.

Previously treatment for these problems was aimed at treating the fungus, mould, bacteria to virus, whereas nowadays an alkaline diet is often recommended in order to remove the breeding ground for these problems and restore a healthy pH in your body. When the body is acidic, cells mutate. Research shows that this can lead to tumours, both cancerous and non-cancerous. Many patients feel that an alkaline diet is easier to follow than many other strict dietary protocols, because so many foods are alkaline. Adding the juice of half of a lime to water is often recommended as the first step towards a more alkaline diet. Acid is stored in fat cells to protect the organs.
