We have tried to design this website so it is friendly to the eye, as many patients suffer behind the computer screen because of bright websites. If you find the resolution still too bright or too dark, you can adjust this either via the buttons on the side/top of your screen, or on your laptop by using the combination of the 'Fn' and the arrow right key (☼) together. If you have Windows XP, go to your start menu and select "Control Panel" then "Display Settings". There you can adjust the contrast, brightness, resolution until you get exactly what you want. |
|
If you are using Internet Explorer, select "View" from the menu at the top of your screen, then select "Text Size". From there you can increase or decrease the size of the fonts on your screen. This may change the layout of the screen slightly. If you press F11 you can view this site in Full Screen. If you have Internet Explorer version 7, in the right bottom corner of your screen, you will find a magnifying glass. With this tool you can view this site at 125% still in it's whole. Or simply use the scroll bars to focus on the text and leave the navigation buttons out of the screen. |
|
Most articles have little icons in the top right of the article screen, that say PRINT and EMAIL. The Email button lets you email the hyperlink to yourself or a friend and the Print option allows you to print out the option without having to copy and paste the information into a text editor such as Word, Wordperfect or Notepad and save or print from there. You may still wish to copy and paste into a text editor if you wish to remove the icons. Our awareness leaflets are directly printable from MsWord. Each leaflet requires only one sheet of paper. Print page 1 then put the paper back into your printer with the other side facing up then print the page 2. Then fold the paper in half and you have a leaflet to show friends and family or to distribute to raise awareness. |
|
Some text will turn blue as you hold your cursor over it. These are hyperlinks. If you click on them, it will take you to another page, article or an external website. Some (such in the Factlists) will open up a specific article/item with an explanation or scientific paper attached. All links that lead to another website will open in a new window, so that the Diagnose Support page will not disappear and you can return to it at any time by minimizing the other windows. In Internet Explorer 7 the weblink will open in another TAB instead of in a new window. |

If you experience any technical difficulties reading or viewing this website, please inform us via the secure email form on the Contact us page. You will find the Contact us option at the top of any page on this website. Always mention the software you use on your computer (such as Windows XP) and the internet browser you use (Internet Explorer version 7, Firefox, etc). That information should help us to discover the cause of the problem. If you want to report a malfunctioning or inapropriate link on our website, please mention the category of the link from our website, the name of the website and whether it is a dead link or you find the content inappropriate, so that we can re-evaluate the link. |

On the left you will find a set of navigation bars. At the bottom left there is a registration/login option. After registration and logging in, the user menu will also be visible. |

When our webshop is live, all visitors will be able to see the items we will promote, but before shopping with us, registration is also required. There is a slight delay in setting up the shop, so please bear with us. All proceeds will be used for the benefit of patients and will go towards research, our awareness efforts and re-establishing patients' roles in society. Membership is free. We only require a valid email address, your country of residence and if you belong to a commercial, medical or patient (advocate) organisation, your details on that. Editors, advocates, vendors and business club members: Editors and advocates will have extra menu options to submit content and access the forum. To become an editor or advocate we need to know a little more about you. We hope to find people who will actively participate in our efforts to improve circumstances for patients with invisible illnesses (in Europe or elsewhere). Your input may vary from brainstorming with us on our Team Forum, to helping out with a local event, from collecting your parliament's email addresses to working on our brochures, or from evaluating treating physicians to submitting news articles. If you are making awareness items, or items that can be useful to other patients, or if you have a secondhand piece of equipment to sell, then you can become a vendor with us. Maybe you have a juicer that is still good but you do not use it anymore, maybe you once bought a foot massager but now your feet are all better, maybe you have a glucose meter, but now you have no use for it anymore. This is your chance to pass it onto someone who could really use such a device for a fair price ! In the future we also hope to setup a Business Club, to coach patients who want to earn independent income within their limitations. Feel free to contact us about this. Registration process: For registration, please look at the "Login" area at the bottom left side of your screen. If you click on "Register" the registration menu will open. Behind fields you will find a blue "Information button" and if you move your cursor over it, you will find instructions for that specific field. We understand that for some patients with memory and concentration problems, the registration process is a bit long. If this is the case, click here to send us a quick email, then we can create a profile for you. If you would like a specific username please mention that in the email. You can later edit the profile and change your password yourself. Please read our Terms of Use in the registration process. When your registration is complete, you will receive an email from us, then you are able to login to the member area. If you wish to help Diagnose Support as an editor or advocate, or if you wish to apply for a vendor position or have an item to sell, please send us an email via the secure Contact us option at the top of any page on this website. We will then contact you via email, live chat or phone (depending on which information you give us and what you are most comfortable with) to discuss your participation. |

Our website should be fully accessible and the registration process and log in should function without difficulty. Some computers may have certain settings that do interfere with these processes. If you have any problems, please try the following: - Please check to see whether you have problems with other websites at the time of the attempt to register with Diagnose Support to rule out a system error. If you have more problems, please reboot your computer and try again.
- Add www.diagnosesupport.com to the list of Trusted Websites in your Internet Explorer, Norton or other security program, before opening the registration process.
Be sure to use a VALID email address for the registration process. If the system does not receive a response from your valid email address, your registration will not be completed. This is a system security setting that we cannot alter. Try using an alternative email address if you experience problems with your primary email address.
If all of the above fail, please send us an email via the secure Contact us email form. Here it is also necessary to use a VALID email address. Otherwise we cannot reply to you. Please share with us exactly what your problems were, what kind of computer and internet browser you use and (if any) which error messages came up. We can then create an account for you and you are automatically a member from that moment forward. After we have created your account and sent you an email to confirm this, please log in and change your password. You can then fill in your profile and information you want to share with our members. Please do inform us of any difficulties you experience with this website in as much detail as possible. If we have enough information, we can ask the system designers for help. |
